The works involved in the construction of this highly impressive new school build, carried out in four separate phases, consisted of the construction of a new eight classroom, two storey Primary School and GP Hall of circa 1,697m2 and associated site works on the existing site of the school. The associated site works included the demolition of the existing school upon completion of the new school, hard courts, junior play areas, car parking and all associated site development works such as road network, boundary treatment and landscaping.
Completed 10 weeks ahead of programme and handed back to the Board of Management for the beginning of the new school year, Contracts Manager Mr. Dan Casey coordinated the construction of this exemplar new school build, which was finished to the highest of standards. As Tom O’Brien delivers another highly successful project, we would like to wish the Board of Management and all involved with Glenville National School every success in the near future.
Testimonial – “The project was finished to an extremely high standard ten weeks ahead of schedule. The construction took place on a site that was shared with the working school. This was done in a safe, practical manner, with minimal interference with the operation of the school. Full cognisance was taken of the needs and safety of pupils and staff, and the company was extremely cooperative with any requirements of the school. The Board found Tom O’Brien Construction to be efficient, competent and easy to work with, and were extremely pleased with the workmanship, competence and conduct of the company and its employees. I would recommend Tom O’Brien very highly.” – Michael O’Donnell, Principal, Glenville National School.
