The development of Waterpark National School was carried out in two phases. The first phase of works consisted primarily of construction of the new two storey primary school building extension consisting of 4 general classrooms, 2 resource rooms, stores, toilets and all associated external works including site enclosures, road and footpath redevelopment works, safe pedestrian access, car parking, hard play areas, site services and landscaping. Removal of the existing prefabricated building bases and the reinstatement of areas back to its former state. The project involved the design of an intricate link between the new building and the existing building, which was constructed and overseen by Tom O’Brien’s expert Contracts Manager and tradesmen.
The second phase of works incorporated the refurbishment of the existing main school building. In addition, Tom O’Brien provided the school with a new Principal’s office, secretary’s office, waiting areas, staff room and refurbished classrooms.
The striking new building extension, finished in a white sand / white cement finish, along with the existing building’s refurbishment was completed on time before the start of the new school term to welcome back the returning staff and students. Tom O’Brien completes another successful educational project and we wish Waterpark National School every success with their new facility.
Testimonial – “We found Tom O’Brien Construction to be positive, accommodating, cooperative and pleasant to deal with on a day to day basis. They also maintained an excellent relationship with the school. We were extremely satisfied with Tom O’Brien’s role as Contractor for this project and would recommend this company for any future projects.” – David Falconer, Architect, C.J. Falconer & Associates.
