The award winning bus station on Waterford’s Quay has become one of the best known buildings in Waterford. It’s unusual but attractive aspect along with its low storey height combine to make it unobtrusive, yet its curved stone facade catches the eye.
The building is finished with a soft cream limestone facing interlaced with substantial glazing elements with a granite tiled interior floor, giving the building a light airy feel. All joinery was constructed and installed by Tom O’Brien’s expert craftsmen.
The project has been favourably received by the Public and Business Communities, and allied with an R.I.A.I. Regional Design Award has made this project particularly satisfying.
