Tom O’Brien Construction have carried out two major projects in this prestigious hotel in Wexford. The first project being the build of a new leisure area combining a spectacular pool with state of the art gym facilities. The building combines wonderful structural timber framed Glulam beams to great effect with a bright blue interior, whilst upstairs the gym area is a hive of activity all seamlessly integrated into the existing hotel structure. The building operation had to be undertaken in such a way as to ensure the least possible disruption to the family hotel and this was achieved with extensive planning and careful husbandry by the foremen on site and contracts managers.
Following the completion of the above pool, Tom O’Brien Construction were invited back by the hotel to do a remodelling of their main kitchens, including additional storage areas, new cold rooms and freezers, changing rooms for staff along with the complete upgrade of the main bar and the casual dining facility. All works were undertaken whilst the hotel was still in operation making for a challenging project, which was completed on time for our client and with the minimum of interference.
